before closing Explorer or the Internet connection.
VIEWING PROBLEMS
A) Using Internet Explorer.
The user types in the username and the password but cannot get access to a reserved area of the site. The system does not
supply any reason.
Clean out the cookies in the computer.
However, the solution could depend on the browser used.
If Explorer is being used, we suggest installing version 5.5.
B) Using Netscape Navigator
The user types in the username and the password but cannot get access to a reserved area of the site. The system does not
supply any reason.
The solution could depend on the browser used.
If Netscape is being used, it is necessary to disable Javascript.
PROBLEMS WITH PDF FILES (ACROBAT)
A) The PDF file does not open and/or gives an indication that it has
been produced for a version of Acrobat higher than the one used by the user.
Update your software. It is always advisable to use the latest version of the program.
B) The PDF file opens but there is obviously some difficulty in viewing or the page appears blank.
Update your software.
If it is still impossible to open pdf files it is possible to save them on your own Pc and then open them later.
To perform this operation:
a) click on the link of the pdf file with the right button of the mouse instead of the left one
b) wait until the menu opens and select 'Save object with name'
c) once you have saved the file on your own computer you can open it by clicking twice.
C) In Acrobat Reader, even when you have changed the general preferences, the software does not seem to adapt.
Changes to the preferences become operative after having closed the programme, restarted the machine and reopened Acrobat Reader.
D) After having changed the display colours of the monitor with Acrobat Reader in use, the opened PDF file does not show the correct
colours in the images.
It is necessary to close and reopen Acrobat Reader in order to optimise the performance.
E) The Euro symbol is not displayed in the PDF file.
The file has been produced with a more updated font (character type) than the ones in your Pc. Update the system font version.
F) Problems in viewing and using the Matrox or ATI display adapter.
Update the drivers of the display adapter used.
Got to the site of the manufacturer of the adapter used.
G) The printer blocks because it does not have enough RAM (e.g.: 2 MB).
In the Print dialogue window of Acrobat Reader select 'Properties' and set a lower resolution (for example 300dpi).
H) The printing of a PDF file is not correct.
Check the print configurations and if necessary select 'Print as image'. This option slows down printing but ensures total fidelity to
what is shown on the monitor (but at a lower quality...300dpi).
I) Printing redimensioned in an undesired way.
Acrobat Reader is already set to print the PDF pages according to the dimensions of the sheets. If you want to change the setting,
open the 'Print' dialogue and deselect 'Adapt to page'. Then click on 'Properties' and choose the appropriate dimensions.
J) The 'Print on all pages' function does not seem to work.
Check that the 'Invert pages' option has not been selected. They are incompatible.
K) Printing problems with a HP printer (LaserJet in particular) or PCL
Check that the drivers are updated and if necessary select 'Print as image'. This option slows down printing but ensures total
fidelity to what is shown on the monitor (but at a lower quality...300dpi).
L) High number of pages to be printed with the AdobePS 4.2.4 driver
The driver obliges the printer to reproduce at the most 255 pages at a time.
M) PostScript print options are not working.
These options (e.g.: mirror image, negative, upside down, etc.) function only if the 'Print as image' option is selected.
